Now that I am covered by Blue Cross HMO I wanted them to cover my protime supplies which were running low.
It only took about 3 days of phone calls, messages, voice mails before I really got serious and said I only had a week left.
So, today, I found out that my cuvettes would be authorized as durable medical equipment and will be covered by my plan.
I was ready to really fight for this, but I didn't even have to.
It was just typical insurance red tape and no call back kind of stuff.
Good luck to those of you still trying to get this technology covered!

Congratulations Gail... thats great news.. I just got my machine about a month ago.. Its so much better and I think also more comforting - knowing I can do it myself..

Ever since I've done the testing my INR is finally in range and its been consistent..

Best Wishes
Marilyn :)

It makes all the difference in the world when you take control and take it out of their hands at the Clinic!
