Humour Pre/Post Surgery

14 hours before my op the Surgeon came to visit me and said in broken english
" Dont verry I vill pille yout really toot"
which means
Dont worry I will Pull you really tight
He did and my scar is very neat

Four weeks after op I went to Disneyland with my 5 year old daughter. She is not a fan of rollercoasters or scary rides which was fine with me as 4 weeks post op you are not exactly 100%.
There was a new ride called The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
I had a quick read special effects etc. etc. but I missed the warning
yes you guessed right
3 or 4 minutes of pure terror later we had a nervous laugh together

Always look on the bright side of life

I can't even fathom going on a ride at 4 weeks out. Heck, I was in the hospital for 12 weeks.

Not a chance in the world I would have even gotten on the kiddie merry-go-round at four weeks. I wanted my two feet planted securely on the ground at that point. Then again, I would never get on any terror ride under any circumstances. They hold no appeal for me.

I asked my surgeon about the heart problem warning on the scary rides at my 3 month post op check up. He said I was fine because mine was fixed...I didn't get the chance last summer, but I'm ready. I love roller coasters, even the shows about them...
