Thanks for posting a great and wonderful story. Glad it hit the sports page of a large circulated newspaper. I think it's time the general population knows that life goes on and also can become improved after major surgeries.

My primary care physician is also a triathlete and has been supportive of my triathlon training. We bump into each other at races at least once a year. The last time was while waiting for the start of a race on the beach on Siesta Key here in Sarasota.
He just winked at me and said, "Well, I guess you're doing okay".
