First Lab v Home INR Results

The results from my Tuesday lab test came back at INR 2.2 - exactly the same as I got from my Coaguchek XS tested about an hour after the lab drew blood. Ross, I know this is a fluke, but it makes me feel good and will give me some ammunition with my Doc to trust the machine. Next battle is self dosing as the response time and directions from her office on dosing have been hit and miss.

I have also lab and home tested with exact same results....believe in your machine.

I had the lab draw my INR with venipuncture, and at the same time do a fingerstick with the "home" machine that the lab had right there. The venipuncture was 3.1, the fingerstick was 2.9. Is that close enough??

Terry, right on. A difference of .2 is acceptable as indicated in the manual.
Even 2 lab tests back to back will often have a small diff.
