Hi there! I had my aortic valve replaced in 2008. I also had my inominate vein reconstructed as well (they were going to repair my aortic, but scar tissue was attached to the valve/vein and it tore them apart). I've been having issues again lately with my heart. My left ventricle chamber grew which made my heart weaker so they used tissue to block part of it. My ejection fraction in 2010 was 40%. In 2011 it was 60%. I had my last echo in December 2012 it dropped down to 35%! So this was surprising. Doctors are ordering new ultrasounds, etc, and made them every two months. I also had a heart monitor on for a few days, they reported several premature beats.

I was also talked to about a possible implantable cardioverter-defibrillator placement. Does anyone here have any of those? Anything I should question my doctors about?
