Edwards' product developments in transcatheter replacement.

This article relates primarily to Edwards' recent earnings announcements, but the product developments being announced by Edwards with regards to transcatheter replacement of its tissue valves is encouraging.

During my tour of Edwards, there was much discussion around transcatheter replacement when the old valve was one of theirs.....it appears they feel more confidence in replacing an existing Edwards valve with a new one nia transcatheter.

Edwards anticipates launching its SAPIEN transcatheter valve in the U.S. during the fourth quarter, pending regulatory approval. Fourth quarter sales in the U.S. are estimated to be $20 million to $25 million, and sales for the first four quarters of the U.S. launch are projected to be $150 million to $250 million. "

my first thought was that is ALOT of money, looks like a good time to hit Edwards up for ads
