It is not a replacement for Coagucheck or other Coumadin monitors. It monitors the sounds given off by your mechanical valve for possible problems. It doesn't give enough information to tell its value for sure, but it sounds technically feasible on the face of it, and if you want or need to monitor yourself extra carefully...
