Apixaban, Xarelto, and Pradaxa Closing in on Warfarin

It will take a few years more of trials before use with valves, but the new anti-clotting drugs are still moving forward successfully. Trials are finishing now and in the next few months for Xarelto and Apixaban for DVT (deep vein thrombosis), and AFib trials are underway.

If they pass all the hurdles, then all of us can eat all the vegetables we want:

The key will be to find out what the achilles heel(s) of the new drugs will be.
