amiodarone & grapefruit

Wanted to know how many avr patients were warned about the combined effect when taking amiodarone and eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice. I found out by accident and was able to confirm the potential problems. Apparently the effect is a pooling of the amiodarone and then its release all at once.

I took Amiodarone for two months, but no one mentioned the grapefruit. Lucky for me, I don't like that healthy stuff.
