Hi All,
I just thought I would post and let you all know that I met with my new PCP day before yesterday and had a long talk about my heart and other health issues and I do feel as though I got alot accomplished as far as letting him know how frustrated I am at the cardiologists in this area, and how they have been steering me away from their practice, and Dr. Hussain agreed with me that it's because of all of my health issues, that they don't want to touch me let alone operate on me. Dr. Hussain has instructed me to go to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital here in NH to see a cardiologist, Dr. Catherwood, as he is also a Pulmonary Hypertension Specialist as well.
Dr. Hussain told me that he is extremely concerned with my heart, not only for the Valve(s) Disease, but for the Diastolic Dysfunction and CHF that goes along with it.
I can honestly say that I feel really good about Dr. Hussain, as he takes the time to listen to me, he doesn't interrupt and lets me get in every bit of information, and this is really a blessing in my eyes because I feel that the more information he has, he can take care of me that much better.
So now, I am going in April to Dartmouth Hitchcock as Dr. Hussain feels that where it's a teaching hospital, they focus not only on the one issue (Heart) but everything around it that is either being affected , or may be contributing to the issue in itself. (I know this sounds confusing, but sometimes, I just don't communicate too well).
I just wanted to let yall know what I have encountered, and I certainly hope this means that things are headed in the right direction finally. Harrybaby
