6 weeks post-op (Sternotomy) report...

Hi there to all my forum-friends!

Just a quick update from me: I am feeling so much better. Sternum has healed and incision looking good. I am working on a pic for "toots"

I am ready to go back to work next year (4 Jan) and I am really looking forward to the New Year. But first, we are going on a trip to the Coast tomorrow (sunny South Africa - Amanzimtoti) and I am so excited. It will be our first break in about 2 years! When I did the planning for my "wardrobe" I decided: let them look at my extra cleavage if they want

have a happy holiday! good for you, you are over the worst now, just a matter of waiting for the scar to tone down a little, and for the breastbone to heal all the way. Take it easy, though, no really heavy lifting or effort for another few months, and watch out for those sneezes!

BTW, keep your scar out of the sun or sunscreened as much as possible, it heals better . . .
