I ran my favorite 15K race today, the Schenectady, NY, Stockade-athon. It was the 33rd running of the event and my 25th. I did it 10 times prior to AVR and now 15 times since. The first time I ran it was in 1978 so it was also a 30th anniversary in a way. My time, 1:47:00 (11:29 per mile) by the chip was the fastest I've run it since 2001. It took me 42 seconds to actually get to the starting line (I timed it) so I'll count my time as 1:46:28 (11:25 per mile).
Even though I was dead tired at the end and my feet hurt, I couldn't resist dancing across the finish line. Let's hope no one caught that on video.
