14 weeks later - getting back to "normal"

14 weeks post aortic valve replacement and I have accomplished a major goal. I am riding my horse again! I'm also attending cardiac rehab three days a week and staying in close touch with my cardiologist. I'm walking my dog, caring for my disabled son and making quilts. But getting back on my horse was the BIG thing.

While in the hospital, my daughters posted a photo next to my bed of me on my horse at a trail competition . It was a constant reminder of my eventual goal. Riding again lets me know that everything else I want to accomplish is possible.
