10 year anniversary

Ten years ago yesterday I had a mitral valve repair, maze, and one bypass. After many bumps on the road to recovery, I have been just fine until now.
Then during Thanksgiving week a routine mammagram found a mass on my right breast. This lead to a biopsy then lumpectony and sentinel nodes removal for invasive ductal carcinoma January11. Lab results show clean margins around mass and clean lymph nodes. Next step is talking to an oncologist about radiation.

Congratulations on your 10th Valversary and congratulations on clean lymph nodes and margins! You have been through a tremendous amount and are still able to face whatever the future holds. You are an inspiration to others who find themselves traveling the same road.
