    tricor muscle damage

after taking Tricor for 4 years (half of a 145mg tablet), my PCP requested I take the full tablet every night. Very quickly, I started to receive leg and hip pain. I stopped, and the pain went away. I then started again, and quickly the severe pain came back. I explained the muscle pain and both...

    (Dried) blood in ear

I had the same problem. I went to the emergency room, and the doctor gave me some type of liquid medicine to insert in the ear to stop the bleeding.

    stress test 105 bpm

Yesterday, I went to have a nuclear stress test due to heaviness in chest and sharp pains. performed the stress test for 10 minutes (which is pretty goof for walking and running on an incline) and then ate lunch (no caffeine, just a veggie burger). I went back to continue and the tech asked me...

Finally, My Sternotomy Scar No Longer Itches...

Kelo-Cote works. Vitamin E doesn't. at least for me. Kelo-Cote was the only stuff that didn't make my scar itch when applied.

    Broken sternal wire

I think the same is happening to me. Did you only have pain when you performed certain movements? that's the case with me.

    Weird feeling today

I woke up the past 2 days the same way. so dizzy that I couldn't stand up. I made a doctor's appointment, but I'm wondering if Zetia had any effect on this since I recently started taking it.

    My High Cholesterol blog/diary

I have high cholesterol. Before AVR surgery, my total cholesterol was over 600. The cardiologist said in his 25 years of practicing he hasn't ever seen cholesterol this high. Since then, and after taking half a 145mg Tricor my cholesterol has gone down to 250 (I'm taking the full 145 mgs now)...

Need to plan surgery soon, have some questions for those who have gone through it...

as far as taking care of your babies, you may have to have someone watch your babies. you will be out of commission for 2 months as far as lifting. I wouldn't take any chances. all I can say is I felt a lot better after my surgery than before.

    Can't get in range.

also, I'm sure you're aware of certain supplements may lower INR such as St. Johns Wort etc. I love greens, but I think Brussel Sprouts have a major effect on me. I eat a lot of greens, except Brussel Sprouts.

    Can't get in range.

like the others said (takes a while), but your post for whatever reason brought me back to how crazy I was to make sure my parents picked up the Warfarin on the way home from the hospital. I also remember hating to cough or sneeze. that hurts!

poked myself, but not much blood if any

I've been trying to take my INR for the past couple of days. (I've been sick). Every time I poke my finger, blood is almost nonexistent. I have taken my Coumadin regularly. any suggestions?

Conflicting Stories = Anxiety & Panic for a new "possible" BAV-er

personally, I think you'll know when it's time. for me, I couldn't sleep at night. I always needed the A/C blasted, couldn't breathe in unventilated rooms, became angry quicker, and then passed out a couple of times.

    Frustrated!!!!

I've learned to keep my mouth shut when I go to the doctor's office. I do the same on here sometimes. you know what is best for you and how your body is affected by the Coumadin. I love having my own machine.

    Medication mix up

that was too funny. hope everything is okay with her kid. I've always had the nightmare that I'd take the wrong medicine for a month, instead of Coumadin. sometimes, I don't look at the label for months. I just know the Coumadin has a peach color (5mg)

What is it like taking coumadin?

I'm 45, and had my surgery 2 years ago. I was freaking out that my hair would fall out. A couple of months when it didn't happen, I felt great. As soon as I went home from the hospital, I ordered an electric razor. I haven't used it once. I thought I would bleed like water if I cut myself. That...
