    Ross Procedure gone south

What was proposed to is the "David type" valve sparring procedure. I had one done in 2002 and things still seem to be working fine.

    Pirate hunting !

Well as a former naval officer let me suggest something to you. What you are considering is not an adventure, it is not excitement, it is not something to be done to enjoy the "rush". My friend, what you are proposing is no different than going to war, however small of a scale it might be. If...

    Help? Mortgage experts in here?

The way it works would be that the buyer would need to assume the loan as part of the closing. However the lender would need to approve this of course, and depending on the loan terms or the buyer's credit score the lender may require that the loan be paid off at closing. Banks are playing...

Ross Procedure....am I going the Right Way?

I had an ascending aortic aneurysm repaired in 2002. I looked for a surgeon to do the Ross, found one at Rush here in Chicago with well over 100 done. He looked at my test results and recommended that I have the damaged portion of the aorta replaced and that they save my aortic valve in what...

    Length of surgery

About 6 hrs here as well from getting carted off to waking up. But most of that time you are being prepped, and then coming down from the surgery. You are certainly not opened up that long. Pump time of an hour or so seems common unless something goes wrong.

    shooting sports?

It takes about 5-6 months for the chest to fully heal, at least that is what I was told. I would think that the AR-15 is something you could shoot sooner, maybe 3 months to be safe. Anything heavier I would wait 6 mos.

I need a great Cardiologist in the Chicago area:

I would suggest Dr Kavinsky at Rush, but if you want the burbs, try anyone working out of Rush Copley in Aurora.
