    Carnivore Diet

Eating death cannot promote long life. You are eating animals who get their nutritional needs met from a vegetarian diet. Skip the animals, eat plant-based.

Anyone still have sternum pain one year after surgery?

I'm over 5 years out and I still get sternum pain, more like soreness. At my last yearly cardio visit he told me if it still hurts, then it always will. It will get sore after a tough work out, and also with weather changes, especially in the winter.

    Question for runners with afib

Thanks Scott! I had forgotten that magnesium is supposed to help, I am going to try it. I take 25 mg of metoprolol twice a day too. Who is your cardiologist? I'm also in Atlanta, had mine done at Piedmont.

    Question for runners with afib

Hi all... I was diagnosed with afib about 2.5 years ago, received my mechanical MV over 5 years ago. I stopped running 3 years ago b/c I hurt my back. In the meantime I have still remained active, walking, the elliptical and other means of cardio that aren't high impact and I also do yoga...

How sore is 'too sore' on my sternum?

I still get pain in my sternum post-workouts and also with weather changes and it's been 4 YEARS. My cardio told me last year that if it was still hurting then it probably always will. You are still pretty new so yours will likely go away in time. It used to worry me but now I'm used to it, and...

    Voltaren gel and INR

Thanks y'all... :wink2: I didn't use it at first b/c I was afraid of my whacky INR getting whackier, but I've started using it and it works really well... so I'll just get tested sooner and see how it goes. Was just curious if anyone knew for sure!

    Voltaren gel and INR

My orthopedist prescribed me Voltaren gel for some knee pain I've been having. When I got it filled, the pharmacist told me it affects INR (makes it go up). My brother (an orthopedist) told me it shouldn't have much of an affect. Just wondering if anyone else has used this and if it did in fact...

Allergies or Sinus. What do you take?

As someone else mentioned, neti pots are wonderful! I swear by mine, just fill with warm water and add a little bit of salt. If you are already congested it might take a few times, but if you get in the habit of using it, you will notice a huge improvement and lessening of sinus issues. Best of...

    Question about Multaq

drivetopless: I forgot we both go to Dr. S! Is Mg magnesium? Thanks for sharing your experience. I go in tomorrow for an echo and see him again in about 5 weeks. I really know nothing about all this med business so it's helpful to hear what others are doing and options. Al: I don't know...

    Question about Multaq

Thanks for all of the replies, gives me something to think about. I was wondering why one would stop taking Multaq? I don't want to be taking it forever, but I would think if you stopped then the symptoms would come back. It is nice to know that for whatever reason it is not a life-long drug! I...

    Question about Multaq

Thank you Greg and Sylvia... that link was a little scary but I know all drugs have to list the "big" risks as well!
