Jeanne,
After three years spent in the waiting room, you're about to climb the mountain! And on St. Patrick's Day! How cool is that?;)
I wish you very best. I know that other members have had the same surgeon that you will and all went well. I'm confident that it will hold true again.
God bless and Godspeed!

All the best! We'll look forward to hearing about it after it is all done. Wishing you a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Best Wishes on your climb and decent of that mountain. Just remind yourself of how great you are going to feel once this is all over. Will look forward to your updates as you progress. :)

There will be two reasons to celebrate St. Patty's day. Sending positive vibes and prayers your way for a successful and smooth surgery and recovery.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.. You are one day ahead of me!!!! Soon we will be on the other side!!!!

Hard to believe it's almost here after all that time in the waiting room. I look forward to reading about the good news of your successful surgery!

Thanks so much everyone for your good wishes. It's funny - after logging in to this forum for three years it was still a bit of a shock to see my name in the upcoming surgeries this morning - seemed to make it all REAL all of a sudden!!! I actually like the fact that it's on St Pat's Day (although I'm not sure about the corned beef and cabbage lol) - I think I will feel like I am a little Irish after this :)

This week has been the easiest for me out of the five months of waiting. (I found out in October my surgery would be in March). I've actually got a sense of anticipation - of getting it all over and done with!! The minister told our congregation on Sunday about my surgery (over 1000 members) and I have been overwhelmed by the kindness of so many people. That many people praying for me is making a real difference too - there really is "the peace that passes all understanding".

It's really interesting too how people react. Because I look and act perfectly healthy people find it hard to understand that I need major surgery and they all want a full explanation - I assure them it is not catching :D

I'm heading into hospital Monday at 12 noon. Then during the afternoon I have all the final preparations - xrays, blood tests, and visits by the surgeon, anaesthetist etc. They are also going to take me on a tour of intensive care to show me where I'll be when I wake up ;)

Thanks once again for all the support I have received from this site over the last 3 years - you guys rock!!!!! - Jeanne

Good luck Jeanne. I hope you are doing something nice and relaxing this weekend with your family.

Good luck! Can't wait to talk after our surgeries! Hopefully we'll both be on to a super fast recovery! We're almost there ...

I reckon it's about time I make a post in here.

Good luck! Remember, we are all there with you. Maybe you can't see us, but we are. ;)
