Babies after valve repair

Our daughter had valve repair five years ago .

Two years ago, she gave birth to a boy. Last week, she gave birth to identical twin girls.

We thank Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Laks at UCLA for making it possible for her to be Mom to three kids. She had no problems with heart during pregnancies/deliveries. Children are all healthy.

That's fabulous! It's so nice when they can use a repair or a tissue valve to enable someone to carry the children they want. I'm glad all are well. Gee, we sure have lots of twinning lately, don't we?

My cardiologist told me I should probably never children, due to my BAV and aneurysm, but she didn't want to operate because it wasn't bad enough for surgery (just too bad for pregnancy). Finally I've gotten some more opinions from surgeons and the future is looking brighter.
