For my bday today he bought me a Chair lift recliner to use after my surgery. I guess a friend of his mother only used it for 2 months after buying it brand new. Just had it cleaned.

I was telling him a few weeks ago how so many of you were more comfy in a recliner after surgery. I guess he does listen when I talk. LOL.

Wow....that was thoughtful. :) My late Mom had an amazing recliner; electric, leather.
And if ever I need OHS again, I'm also getting one of the taller toilets.
Top of bowl is 17.5 inches high as opposed to mine that is 14.5 inches.
I really hated to ask hubby to hold my hand so I wouldn't lose my balance when I was lightheaded and feeling weak.
Is it tacky to ask for a new toilet for a b-day present? HA HA HA

I also got a recliner for my birthday (one week before AVR), along with a new refrigerator and a new kitchen floor! Might as well have something to show for it besides a scar!;)

I would ask for a toilet if it would give me some independence. LOL

Hmmmm, what else can you parlay this into? A new wardrobe that's easy to put on and take off after surgery? ;)

Wow Mary, You are a lucky woman!! I thought me bday was done with the new laptop, new bedding and roses. I never expected a recliner on top of everything. I could really use a a new fridge. Guess I will have to wait til the next holiday. LOL

And I thought it was called selective deafness husbanditis!:D
Goes with selective deafness felinis and selective deafness caninis.

I bought a toilet seat extender (made it taller) at the medical supply store after my surgery. $40. If you have a low sitter, you might consider that, as well as the lovely recliner.
Now I have a new taller toilet after the bathroom remodel, but I still have that seat, in waiting for the next surgery, just in case.

Laura, That guy sounds like one to hold onto! Mary, You two are nothing short of an inspiration! I do love to hear this stuff! All the best, Brian PS: And I am single.
