Jane, I know that you are well prepared for your upcoming avr, and that is a good thing!:) You have encountered medical hurdles before, and you will soon be past this one. You can count on our prayers and support to help you in anyway we can.

We'll see you on the other side of this.:)

God bless and Godspeed!

Jane,
I re-read your posts--it sounds like you have a lot to face, but have done your very best to line up the support you need from the medical team.
I wish you a calm spirit leading up the surgery and a very successful surgery on Tuesday. We want to know how you're doing afterward, too.
Best wishes,
Debby

Overwhelmed by your good wishes as I face surgery

Overwhelmed by your good wishes as I face surgery

To my VR family,

As a "people person," I'm overwhelmed by the good folks here at VR and so appreciative of all your good wishes. I'm working hard at facing next Tuesday with a positive attitude, but it isn't always easy. While it's sometimes difficult, I'm trying to not drive everyone around me completely crazy and finding that most of my friends and relatives either assume that it's an easy "fix" or that it's the worst thing that could ever happen! This week a friend was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer--I'm feeling pretty lucky that I have something that can be fixed. I'm trying to keep that perspective in place and keep as busy as possible.

I am so grateful for having the chance to learn from and vent to everyone here and I want to apoligize now for not always responding to each of you. Please know that I appreciate everything you've shared with me and while I've spent an inordinate amount of time as a helicopter member--reading everything and not writing a lot, I hope to make up for that on the other side of the mountain. Once again, thank you for all your good wishes and please keep me in your thoughts as my day approaches. My son will post with info on my progress after surgery, until I'm able to get back on line.

Jane
