How long will a Cardio have someone wear a holter? I was told by a friend he has to wear his for 30 days. I thought it was for 24,48 maybe 72 hours but I never heard 30 days.Could this be true? I wore holters every year for about 17 years and wore mine for 24-48 hours at the longest. Thanks for your answers

It's like a holter, but just records "events" weird blips, some you have to push a button when you feel it and it records them and I believe, others just capture them, unlike a holter that records the whole time

Does he have it now or will be getting it? some people have trouble with the stickers for a month and there are some things(protective wipes) you can buy that seem to help IF it is a problem

He has it now. This is his first time with anything heart related. The PCP pick up a murmer and they have him on a event moniter. He ask me about my BAV and what tests I went through. He is alittle worried. I told him not too.

The good thing about an event monitor or King of Hearts monitor is that they give you a supply of new stickies so you can shower everyday and then reapply them. I usually didn't even sleep with the monitor on because I wouldn't be aware if my heart was doing something to be able to push the button.

I also had an event monitor and they give you plenty of sticky things so you can take it off when you want and reattach it. He might want to have some clear instruction on where to place them though, since the last half of my recorded events didn't pick anything up due to "artifact".. not sure if I hadn't attached them in the right spot or if was something else, but it seemed like a bit of a waste since they couldn't get anything much useful from it.
