Does this really say what I am thinking???

The EPA apparently has a regulation which covers farm animals "emissions". I guess they changed the regulations to make is less burdensome, but still---

How does one measure that?

Things are getting a little out of control.

Red question: you don't want to know:D .... and for those getting ready with TheChimp cracks A. we are not farm animals and B. Chimps are exempt from all EPA regulations:D

Good Lord! Next they'll be regulating how many times a day humans can flatulate! The bean farmers will be screaming!

In my little farm town, we have 2 chicken factories, a pig factory, a goat cheese plant, and some really large dairy herd barns.
Let's just say that in the summer when the temp is 85 and the humidity is high, you wouldn't want to drive near them with the windows down on barn cleaning day.

Actually our problem is that a few of these "factories" were established....they are the culprits.
The average modern farmer knows how to do things with less impact to the air that we breathe and ONtario has controls for it.
Also we have a family of Swiss farmers, and they are on the ball....they got grants and spent a small fortune on a manure digester. The output is methane gas which is used to power the farm. These same people also have wind power and a straw bale insulated house. Many Europeans come to see it all on a tour. Amazing stuff.

It's time for someone to regulate the EPA! Like get rid of that useless piece of government.

they have been doing studies on cow emissions for many years to see what effect it has on the atmosphere around us! think it started in about 1960s!

Well, really, every living mammal gives off emissions. That includes wild animals, domestic animals and human beings. And other animals and insects emit too. It's silly to blame farm animals for the emission load when there are many more other "animals" contributing.

My guess is that it is tied somehow to a tax on those farms, and that is at the bottom of the whole thing.
