Great letter Norma - I wish I could write like that. Very concise and to the point. I was supposed to see my cardio today for an update and to see what he wants to do with the chest pain, PVC's, PAC's and painful left arm, but alas the ice and snow stopped that. I hope you get the answers you want/need at this point. I wish you great health and a long life!

I applaude you for showing your doctor that, indeed, you need a partnership with him and not just a rubber stamp. You understand your condition with great information and clarity of thought. You have also shown that it is time to take your concerns to a higher authority.

I know that you did the right thing. What we, all of us, need to do is to make our doctors responsible and attentive. The days of Doctor Marcus Welbee are gone. (Thank heavens) Our physicians need to know that we are fully functioning folks who are capable of being involved in our medical conditions and medical solutions.

I am waiting with you to receive the information from Dr. Cooley.

Just received an email from Dena, Dr. Cooley's assistant. It reads:

Dr. Cooley reviewed your email and reports, and will be glad to see you again to discuss your condition and recommendations. Feel free to contact his appointment secretary, Mrs. Linda Jimenez, at 832.355.4920 or via email for an appointment at your convenience. I have copied her on this email so she will have this information and anticipate your call. Please bring the CD of the right heart cath with you when you come.

So I will be calling their office & try to schedule an appointment sometime in late April or May, since by this time of year, tax preparation & end-of-the-year stuff has come to an end & our business is not as busy & we can afford to close down for a week or two. And too, by then, the weather is getting warmer & it's easier for me to find someone to care for our pets during our absence.

Hopefully, they can do another Echo, TEE & heart cath if need be while I'm there to see what things look like.

A great doctor is a blessing. Obviously, he is a great doctor and surrounds himself with a great team. How wonderful they responded so quickly.

My appointment w/Dr. Cooley is scheduled for May 18th. So my hubby & I will be flying out probably on Sat or Sun.

I'm suppose to call the end of April however, to make sure he is still available for that date though.
