Feel free to show off your pets ......past or present....:p

Lovely, lovely kitties

Lovely, lovely kitties

We used to have five furry creatures sharing our life. Three of those beauties were siblings. Sad to say, now we have only one and she is very old. Ms. Pookey is never far from one of us.

You awakened my fond memories of having multiple feline friends.

Your feline family is so sweet.

Regards,
Blanche

Oh how great! I have two kitties that are brothers. They are 4 and half and also Black and White. Simon has long fur and Maurice has short fur. Maurice is the scaredy cat and Simon is the adventuous one. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Mr Panda..

Mr Panda..

And we have "Panda" - that's him in my avatar. If I knew how to post pics and videos on here, y'all would be in trouble......!!! I have LOADS.. He's our baby and absolutely spoiled rotten to the bone.

Those cats look very lovely.....happy and healthy!
I have a few pics on my profile photo album here, cuz if I would start posting animal pics there just wouldn't be any band with left on this site. :)

They are beautiful ,Love 'em.
2 of them look like my guys...the Tuxedo Cat and The Fluffy black
one(though mine is grey). My Tuxedo boy left me 2 years ago,but
he was 14 years and in spite of being a little neurotic...seemed
happy, spoiled and a momma's boy. My extra large fluffy girl is still
with me and believes me to be her servant, or the maid. She was
originally my husband's cat before I moved in,and boy did her feminine
'catty' nature come into play then. I was definitely the "other" woman
in her eyes. We are now friends because I am her maid:rolleyes:

Wow they are big and look very spoiled to me! I have three of them they are all precious in there own ways!

Love them! They look like ours. The big tuxedo cat looks just like our Boots; he's a big lovable baby. Our black cat is Jet; she owns me and is right now curled up beside me.

Cool pics! My cat still loves to lay on my chest and purr. I guess he likes the sound of my vavle "purring".

CUTE!!! I have your kitties twins. Sparky, my tuxedo could be your tuxedo's body double and our big black persian mix looks alot like your black one...Smudge Pot by name, weighs in at 27 lbs., but that is w/o his big fluffy tail being on the scale. Sparky is 14 and won't be with us toomuch longer as he has hyperthyroidism and the meds for treating this cause him to projectile vomit and the herb alternative causes him to itch and his eyes to run. We're trying to keep him going for as long as we can. We also have a large semi-feral chocolate point Siamese: Chairman Mao, and we've recently gotten a Norwich puppy who weighs less than any of the cats (8 lbs.). As soon as the cats figure out that the puppy thinks it's game-on when the cats run from him, things should settle down a bit around here.
I'm glad you posted your photos and am sorry I don't know how to post some of my own, but that may be a good thing that I don't too.

Love the tuxedo cat!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how to get a larger image of my current show kitty -- other than a jpg attachment -- but here is a photo of Dior, a Chartreux neuter. Dior is co-owned with several friends. He is a grand premier (neuter/spay equivalent of a grand champion) and will be in St. Louis MO this weekend for a show there.
My husband calls Dior "the blue streak," because when he's at our house, he runs through the house playing with Louie, our 3YO Abyssinian neuter.

Did you know that if you switch your cats to wet food only, they will lose weight and become healthier? I recently read a book, Your Cat, and she really recommends feeding raw only, no dry food at all. She makes a great case for it. I now have an 8 mo old kitten, and he has never had dry food. He is staying lean and healthy and can jump so silently! Also, he rarely drinks water since cats are meant to get water from the food they eat.
I am a believer, and a former dry food user.

Very true, a raw meat or home cooked diet is best for cats and dogs, but some people confuse this with feeding a diet of regular canned food. The majority of those canned foods are full of fillers, colours, sugars, etc. The end result is a cat/dog with really dirty teeth full of plaque. That is the time when dry foods are introduced in an effort to clean the teeth and many of those foods are packed full of carbs and put on weight.
Specialty pet food stores do sell some great high end diets. Frozen meats, and quality canned and dry formulas to accomodate a variety of cats/dogs.

Gorgeous, Gorgeous kitty Marsha. As you know I am a major cat lover. I've raised 6 Persians and many other cats during my life. I am down to one kitty now. Oliver will be 18 in March. I take him to the clinic three times a week for extra fluids. No idea how long he'll last. He used to be about 14 lbs but is down to a little over 6.

Are these show cats for sale?

So glad to see so many cat lovers in the group. We have 8 in our family..all spayed or neutered and all rescued from one place or another. We had to put a trap in the market parking lot one night a few years back to catch one. He mom cat got run over and the baby was barely old enough to forge on her own so my husband and I spent a few hours with a baited trap watching her hunger get the best of her until she ran inside. Most of our cats are kind of run of the mill rag-tags but we love them anyway. Day I had my cath I came home and laid down and before long I had three purring heads laying on me,working the magic that only purring cats can do.
