I just got off the phone with Justin (Woodbutcher) and he is recovering wonderfully. His surgery was a success, and he sounds in great spirits. They're keeping him very comfortable with those wonderful painkillers they have, athough he says he's feeling more like he's been hit by a truck then mending.

I'll post more if I talk to him again before he's able to post himself.

I can't wait to join him, (and all of you too!) on that side of the mountain! :)

There used to be a running joke with us asking the patient if they got the license plate number of the truck that hit them. You really do feel like that.

Thank you for posting, I was wondering how he was yesterday and couldn't really phone to ask as I didn't have his surname - asking after 'Justin who had OHS yesterday' would give them a clue that I wasn't family or close friend. :)

Justin, congratulations on a successful surgery, that truck can make rounds so rest easy, you'll be home for Christmas. :)

Update from Justin:

"Didn't get the license plate but the driver was wearing a surgical gloves and mask! Day 2 recovery, all pipes out, sat up for dinner, and feeling optimistic and happy. Except the ticking in my ear Thats driving me nuts!"

His messages are quite frequent, and he sounds in great spirits! Only concern last nite was that he hardly slept a wink and kept forgetting to breathe!

I've passed on all the well wishes and thoughts... thanks!
