I got a call earlier today for my surgery date, its next Tuesday, so only a few days, which I am sort of pleased about as I want it asap, the wait is driving me crazy, I thought it wasn't a big deal being given an actual date, but in the last few hours it really seems real now... strange feeling,

Anyways I updated my blog and made a new video of my thoughts, but it's mostly just me rambling now I've watched it back :p , gotta just think of the positive and block out any worries or stress that creeps into my mind :)

Thanks to everyone for all your advice and info so far, this forum has been brilliant for me!

Great news- no time to get stressed. I put you on the calendar and made it "official".

Go and enjoy your weekend.
Keep us posted until you leave if you have any thoughts or concerns.

Will there be anyone who will be able to post for you?
We'll worry if we don't hear anything.

Prayers

Hang in there my friend --- the day will get here sooner than you think! I wish you a positive & successful surgery & a quick & uneventful recovery!

We will see you when you come back!

Best wishes!
:)

You will find peace by the time the morning arrives, I did. I wish you good luck for a successful surgery and smooth recovery.

hang in there, the waiting is the worst! I know, you've heard that one before. But it is true. We'll all be waiting until we hear from you after, is there anyone who can post for you and let us know how you did?

I second the request for updates while you're in hospital. We'd really like to know how you're doing.

Enjoy all those things you're not supposed to indulge in (no no silly! Not the risky ones, just the indulgent ones.) and we'll hear from you when you're able.

Take Heart, the other side of the mountain is nothing more than a short climb away,
Pamela.

Dan you are in my prayers. Cant wait to hear from you post surgery. Now its time to feel all your friends and family carrying you through this with hearts filled with hope and joy. The joy knowing you will be on the road to recovery after being sick way to long.

God Bless
Cindy

Thanks for the support,

I will try and post as soon as possible - i think there is even an internet cafe in the hospital, so maybe ill take a jog down there after the surgery and write a couple of emails :)

It's strange, but your going to feel calm once your inside the doors of the hospital and it's really all real. Don't know why, guess our fight or flight defense mode shuts down and accepts what is about to happen.

you're comin right up on it fast. wishing you calm while you wait, but if not then, like Ross says, you 'give it up' once the hosp doors open and you go through them. Let the staff take over and you just relax. Wishing you a safe trip over the mountain.

GODSPEED!
