the 4 aaa batteries in my coaguchek have died after 8 months use. that does not seem to be a very long life.

is this normal?

Hi Westie,
Do you have the "S" or the "XS"? I've used both and the batteries for the "S" did about 30 tests before they needed to be replaced.
The "XS" is running on the same batteries that came with the unit two years ago.
I hope this helps.
 
Depends on how many tests you've run and how long you leave the meter on afterwards, but actually 8 months doens't sound all that bad. Get some Lithium batteries and you might well double that time.

Hi Westie,

That's a surprise considering I test weekly and since May my spouse also tests weekly using my XS.

There's only one black stripe missing from the pictograph in all this time. I think I'd mention this to the Roche rep.
