I haven't felt as great as I thought I would since my surgery... a little short of breath during walks when going up hills and particularly stairs as well as fatigue. Not extreme, but still a bit bothersome.
My cardio is fabulous and really listens to me. He's trying to get me feeling as good as possible.
He started me on 2.5 mg lisinopril (ace inhibitor). It's the smallest dose possible and I think I'm feeling better but wonder if it is all in my head. I've taken it for about three weeks. For my walks both yesterday and today, I paid attention and didn't seem to have much short of breath in the hilly spots where I customarily feel it.
Can such a small dosage make a noticeable difference? I've always been able to handle most drugs easily and do not have an 'over-sensitivity'.
I'm wondering if this is simply a placebo affect.
Thanks for any opinions.
