My third birthday today

Yep, this time three years ago I was waiting to be taken down to theatre. so all is well, feeling just fine.

Oh Happy Day! June 30 was a good day for surgery I guess! I remember watching fireworks on the hospital tv on July 4, 1998 and feeling like it was a celebration of my new "independence" from a crappy valve!

Many thanks. I think I might make a thank you card for my surgeon, I haven't seen him since being discharged as he said my cardiologist could do the six week check to save me travelling to the UK just for the sake of a brief examination.
