Greetings losers, stay the samers and in my case gainers:eek::D....In the past two weeks I have gained six pounds.....Today also marks two weeks with no, zip, zilch nicotine gum....I don't know if it is true but I was told by a medical professional that stopping nicotine changes the metabolism and some weight gain is inevitable....I don't know if he was blowing smoke up my skirt but I'll take solace where I can:rolleyes:.....Hopefully I'm over the physical shock and now can just tackle the mental/emotional/oral part of the addiction......This Chimp is more than willing to sacrifice a few pounds to be shed of the demon seed nicotine:cool::D

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................198
This week....................202
Weekly Change............+4
Exersise........walk 3 miles x 3
Total Loss......................31

Let's see . . . 6 pounds gain vs kicking the nicotine habit entirely . . . sounds like a great trade off to me!:)
Your walking will help you forget the nicotine and will suppress your appetite, so keep on keeping on!:p

I agree, weight better than nicotine. Even with the +6 pounds you are still down 31 pounds. That's half a chimp!

I've got my official post-vacation scale results; up one pound. I guess I should have walked quicker and in deeper Gulf water if I hoped to get two pounds off!:p:p

Oops, forgot to mention that the jellyfish were numerous (our granddaughter got stung, along with a son and a daughter-in-law) and they were catching small sharks fishing from the beach.
That's why I didn't wade in much deeper!:p:p

Great Job!!!...one pound is nothing on vacation!!!!!......and don't risk the jelly fish

on another note...if you have not tried the molten cake at Chili's.....TRY IT.......hands down BTSx10:eek::D:D

Well, I'm down just shy of another pound from last week. However - we leave Sunday to go spend a week with my son and his family. They just bought a home (closed today) and we're going to help them get some work done on the house before they move in. I won't have my usual workout routine and I'm a bit nervous about the weight creeping up again. Hopefully my avatar will help me get a different kind of exercise - Grammy-cize!

Last time I talked to her on the phone (this morning) she said "Grammy - be down here!"

That has to be the best dessert in a restaurant I have ever had. Delicious!

I've led a sheltered life. I've never been to Chili's!:p

Now you know how to fix that and what to order. Get out more often!

Actually, if I'm understanding what I've read, a basket of Chili's chips and salsa is 5 points, so that helps with being able to have an appetizer.

We don't have one around here!:(:p
Now you know that not only am I sheltered but also deprived and underprivileged!:(:p:p

Would y'all stop talkin' about Choclitt??

I'm working real hard to stay in the same place the last few weeks. I think there's a glimmer of hope, since I've had some 1/2 to 1 pound dips (no, not ice cream dips) this week, but they don't stay. Of course, that's better than the 2 pound climbs that stick. I'm still blaming the new, additional, beta blocker..."that's my story and I'm stickin to it."

Cooker, I'm proud of you for dumping the nicotine. That's hard work.

Goodmorning Losers....I controlled my sweet tooth this week and managed to miraculously lose the kilo (2 lbs) that had crept back on....now to see if I can hold the sweet toothed demon at bay and rid myself of a few more kilos and then I will be happy...

Well done Cooker on quitting the gum...that stuff is almost as pricey as the cigarettes!

Way to go Ton!!!!!!.....Thanks for the kudos on the gum but it is a bitch:eek:.....I want to eat everything in sight:eek:....At least I'm back with my walking.....

Well, I don't know where I left off exactly. I was up several lbs after my vacation but I've shed a couple of those this week. I guess I'm at about +1 this morning from my low point of a couple weeks back.
