You just got tired of all the garbage that is flung at you when you have done nothing wrong to deserve it? I got rear ended this morning going to school and now I don't know when I can return due to the insurance company stating that the dude that hit me may not be covered. And how was YOUR DAY? LOL Harrybaby:eek: :D

Here's another pic of the car after I was hit today. I am NOT Happy....but at least I have a lawyer to help me on this one....Harrybaby:eek: :D

I know it's not what you needed, but it can be fixed. The good part, your still here to tell us about it. ;)

WOW!

Was the other guy sleeping at the wheel??

Thats quite the hit you got.

Are you Okay?? Hows your neck? Take note come the morning. Whiplash can be evident 24 hours after you get hit. If you neck is sore or stiff get it checked out......if you haven't already.

Take Care

I can tell you, he was going at quite a clip when he hit me....I really felt it. and I have whiplash and a sprained neck to prove it. I suppose it could have been worse, but this car was the first nice thing I have really ever had and I wanted to keep it nice and look what happens. :( Harrybaby:(

So sorry, Harry!

Had one of those days myself recently when everything went wrong and I ended up backing into someone in a parking lot.

Don't fret too much--you're alive!

Hugs,
Debi

So sorry Harry. The sound of cars crunching is just the worst! I wish you well in getting it fixed and keeping your premium down.

Aye, Harry ... very sorry that happened to ya....

Harry looking at the pic it seems the rear wings are spared, if so that's a positive. Can you pick up a boot (trunk) lid and rear valance from a specialist breakers? That would lower the repair cost.

Must be the season for these things. On her way home from work Thursday evening, in her Saab 9000, my partner Bonzooki rear ended a Gas Board van. A visit to a specialist Saab breakers for off the shelf second hand parts. Two headlights, a sidelight, a front grille, two headlamp wipers with motors and I came away £270 lighter. Dread to think what the official Saab dealer price of those spares new would be.

Although the Saab is not a flimsy little car, the van was built of sturdier stuff. It just suffered bumper (fender) scratches.

Harry, Glad you are "relatively" okay. Your car will be fixed and look as good as it did before. That you are safe is the most important thing. Take care, Barbara

Oh Lordy Harry..........

Same thing happened to us a couple of months ago -- got sideswiped and they kept on going -- hit and run. Course they never got caught and the nice insurance company totaled the car..:D

That is enough to make you sick. I HATE being in a car accident. My sympathies.

Glad you're OK, but sorry about the hassle.

Sorry to hear about the accident but glad you're ok. If in pain tomorrow, please get checked-out. I know from experience that injuries like whiplash after a car accident may show up a day or two after the fact.

I have been shopping around for new car insurance as I don't like the one I have, BUT....Liberty Mutual quoted me $3500 for the year and I pay $1020 for the year, with my current insurance co. and State Farm wanted about $3000.00. I do have 1 ticket from 2 years ago, but that's it on my driving record, so I don't understand these outrageous quotes. Life......It Gets Expensive.....Harrybaby:eek:

Harry, I'm so glad that you weren't hurt really bad but be sure and take care of your neck. You can have terrible headaches from a whip lash. Hugs & prayers are coming your way.

Yikes ... that is some difference in prices, Harry.

Usually, when I've shopped for insurance, each company I've checked out has been within a few hundred dollars of my current rates ... so, not much incentive to change.

Those rates you were quoted are based on _exact same_ coverages, correct?

Yes, Cort, they were all based on the same requirements for my state. It's really scary to see these insurance companies try to bilk people for all they can get their hands on... And So.....The search continues...LOL Harrybaby:eek: :D

It's Part of Living....

It's Part of Living....

I can't even tell you how often weird stuff like this happens to me. I've been hit by an ambulance while parked-twice! My husband can't understand it, either, since I always drive with headlights on. It even happens when I drive our big purple pickup! I was hit by a flying tabletop on the highway once; the police found and impounded the tabletop but I had no idea where it came from. Inevitably, when I am rear-ended at stoplights, it's always when I'm trying to sneak a sip of coffee during the red light, adding a scald to the whiplash.
It's like I'm invisible. My husband, on the other hand, has never had an accident! (Except the big one involving his heart, but never his car!)

Clear and Cold in Idaho,
Laura
