Hi Gang,

I just wanted to let yall know that I ended up going to see my Pulmonologist today because Dr. Moran in Boston wanted me to have my Pulmonary Hypertension checked, and when I went in, I told him about my Mitral Valve going from Mild to Moderate and HIS EYES POPPED OUT OF HIS HEAD he was that shocked...anyway, I told him that I was getting tired in the afternoons again, much like I did when I was first getting diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, and he told me right then and there that my PH can be caused by Mitral Valve Problems and after going over my CPAP settings, my mask usage and such, we decided to try increasing my setting on the CPAP a bit to see if this would help, and he suggested that I mention all of this to my new cardiologist (whomever that will be I have yet to know). Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I think things are starting to be discovered and I hope that they will get fixed ASAP. What a shocker of a day....Harrybaby:D :D :D

I'm glad to hear you're making progress, Harry!

I"m sure glad to hear that you're making progress. I'm with Nancy; now if you just get a good cardio. Keep us posted with your, hopefully, further progress!

Harry,

glad to hear you are getting somewheres! its always good to make strides.

I am interested in following your progress as I have mitral valve issues, and think I have some pulmonary hypertension going on (mild, intermittent with exertion) (sob with mild exertion, if I get too out of breath I start coughing after I catch my breath, fatigue, palpitations, etc)

I was kind of relieved to hear what your doc said, because we have similar symptoms, and my doc explained my shortness of breath by saying that blood backs up into my lungs and floods them, causing shortness of breath. as a respiratory therapy student I take this explanation, and my knowlege, and with that I know he is explaining pulmonary hypertension. This also goes with my suceptibility to chest colds/bronchitis lately. I am thinking that within the next year or two things are gonna start happening with me moving towards surgeries, so I thank you for sharing this
