HI Everyone, Its Karen, I can see that Nicola has done a fab job keeping you all up to date, but I am back!

John came home today, he has been great, but has some fluid around his Right Atrium that they are keeping their eye on, he is back for a scan on Thursday, but all went really smoothly and he was amazing! He had his breathing tube out in recovery, so I didn't even have to see him ventilated, and chest drains out the next day!

He had some problems with his temperature 2 days post op but that seems ok now and we are awaiting blood cultures, but all in all, I couldn't be happier, prouder and more relieved.

Thanks so much for all your messages, nicola has been telling me of them all on her visits to see us........Thanks, it means so much, especially when you, or a loved one has been in the same situation I was....

Loads of Love

Karen

So happy to read that John is home- take good care of him Mom and we wish him the easiest of recoveries!

Such great news!!! It helps to be young! Love your new avatar. If it wasn't for the bandages and IV you'd think he was just relaxing for the sake of relaxing.

Yeah!, Yeah!, Yeah!!!!

He looks fantastic in the photo.

Tell him to relax and take it easy for a while, he will be back to normal before you know it.

Great news about John! We'll be traveling this path at the same time. My husband came home yesterday (Tues.). I'm debating when I should go back to work.
