On Tues I will meet the man who will have my heart in his hands, rather humbling I expect. I am compiling a list of questions, many of which I learned to ask as a result of culling over this site.
Frank Herbert said "fear is the mind killer" so I expect mine to be dead on tuesday and will need my list.
I have completed an echo and cath, I,ve met with two cardios from kaiser. Two surgeons from Stanford (free advice as friends) had dental work done, and am now working on acceptance. Strange now That Im convinced I need this I cant wait to get it done, yet its the scariest thing Ive ever faced.
This site has been a Godsend, thanks to all who have shared thier experience strength and hope, knowing people have gone before me gives me strength.
I know this is now out of my control but Im going to try to work this out so it doesnt conflict to much with the birth of my grandson, due early december. P.S those are my daughters in the photo, the one on my right is the one blessing me with my first grandchild.
Im sure I will continue to learn as much as I can from you guys so thanks again and all the best.
Keith

Wow....things are moving right along. I don't really remember much of what I discussed with my surgeon besides the valve choice. He showed me a model of the valve. Mainly, I really liked his confidence and already knew of his expertise, that was it.

Let us know what the surgeon says, and if you get a surgery date, we will post it on the VR surgery calendar.
Looking forward to your appointment update.:)

Hi Keith. It helps to write down any questions you have beforehand. Sit down with a notebook and think of things you want to know. That is if you want to know.:D

You'll be on the other side before you know it!!

You'll be on the other side before you know it!!

Dear Keith,

Your sooo normal, we've all been where you are. I was the same way, when I knew I needed it I just wanted it over!

It's a great idea to write questions down. This site really helped me to think of new questions.

This is a wonderful group and so helpful. Ask anything and if someone knows they'll answer.

Wishing you the best and we're waiting for you on the other side of the mountain, with bells on!!!
