Lyn's son will have his fifth OH surgery on Tuesday after a long wait from the previous cancellation on the 5th. I hope that the surgeon is well rested and ready to perform his best work ever, Lyn. Our prayers and best wishes will be with Justin and your entire family for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery. Godspeed!

Thanks Phyllis, I was on the phone (a couple times lol) with CHOP today and so far everythng looks good for Tuesday and right now he is really healthy and sunburn free, knock on wood. We should get the time Mon afternoon, lyn

Justin will be fine, we are all pulling for him. I hope mom takes care of herself!:)

We will be praying for Justin and holding his hand in spirit.

Godspeed.

We are ready and willing to do whatever it takes to keep you calm and sane through the next little bit, Lyn.
I've revved up my prayers in anticipation, so I know things will be fine.:)

Lyn, Did Justin have to do another pre-op now? Hoping and praying that all goes as planned for tomorrow and that the surgery goes well. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers throughout this time! It sounds like he is really ready for the surgery...no sunburn, colds, etc. Justin sounds like an amazing young man...tell him to keep his eye on that "Baseball Hall of Fame"!!!

Thanks. 2 weeks ago, I asked about how long the testing would be good for, the only one that would need redone, was bloodwork. But they assured us they would never make us go there just for the bloodwork, they would just draw it the morning of surgery. So when they called Friday and asked if we could just run Justin to CHOP Mon for his preop bloodwork, I was a little annoyed, but after only speaking to 2 people, they are drawing it tomorrow like they told him they would. (We also have the head of Anes, name incase someone has to call her tomorrow) We also made sure all the insurance precert for surgery tomorrow is taken care of and it is fine now. There was a little issue with that too, but all is now well and looks like everythng is ok for tomorrow. We should get a time this afternoon, I'll post it in this thread, Lyn

6:15 am tomorrow

6:15 am tomorrow

We heard from CHOP and Justin's surgery will be tomorrow. I think he may be the first case since we have to be there at 6;15 and he has to quit eating and drinking even water at midnight. (When he was supposed to have surgery on the 5th, he was allowed to have clear liquid until 8am since he was going to be a later case.) I'm glad it is an early one, since that will be better for Justin,he won't have alot of time to sit around and think tomorrow. We can just wake him up in enough time to get in the car to leave and traffic should be pretty good that early. He also is feeling nice and strong and healthy which is good going into surgery. He is just anxious to have this surgery, so he can start feeling better and having more energy and can start working on his recovery and get back to doing all the things he loves.
I will update on his page www.caringbridge.org/nj/justinw as we get updates.
Thanks, Lyn and Justin

Still with you Lyn and Justin, visualizing a successful surgery, a great recovery and then back to feeling great and enjoying life. Godspeed.

We'll be watching the carepage Lynn and I hope you all can feel our prayers and our presence. So glad it is an early surgery and looking forward to great updates. Godspeed!
