I took a bad fall yesterday in driveway..stepping into a small drainage ditch..Had 2 scrapes..one small one only bled for a few minutes.:) .figured I would have brusies today..None..:) Lucky me...Hubby has more bruises on his arms taking a Baby Aspirin...than I do taking coumadin?Sister is on Plavic (sp?) and says..she is balck/blue? Bonnie, isn't that twice now that you have fallen? You gotta look where you are going - or get new glasses. Glad to know you are ok and not all purple.

So sorry about the fall, Bonnie, but glad you are none the worse for it.

Hey Bonnie!

Glad to hear no visible repercussions on your fall! Scary things falls are, between bruises/broken bones etc! Hubby (36 years old) took a bad fall while delivering this winter. He was coming out of his truck on a slippery, icey non-sanded side walk and hit hard on cement, but thankfully swung his arm around to protect his skull! Yup... he did bruise......His first really big time bruise on coumadin (will spare the details, lol)! A woman from the postal service gave Nathan her ice grippers to go on his boots now, and that has helped. I HATE winter time and ice. Wish I could send hubby to work in a helmet :D

After seeing the scrapes and scabs on my bald scalp after each foray I made into our attic, my wife and son got me a nice hard hat for Christmas. It also works when ducking beneath dogwood branches while mowing the grass.

Thanks all for your concern..Hubby and I were in our driveway (pea-gravel) due to his not wanting a paved driveway..Says, we need the traction for ice/snow..Plus, he thinks it looks nicer..being a mountain Home.....I have bugged him for years to get it paved. ..so, when I was de-heading the peatunias and not watching where I was going and slid into the drainage ditch coming from garage..(pipe going away) I started to chew him out..:p He said, you have known that small ditch was there for years..Just pea-gravel slid and me with it. .........Had to blame someone..:D .Still no bruises..just a tad sorer today..bonnie
