Is anyone else here a fan??? I love this show. It is just fun for fun's sake.

Don't forget, you can always watch missed episodes on ABC.com

Ross, you have to love it, if only for the women's costumes!!!!:D

My favorite is Apollo Anton Ono - he has such a good time and his personality is so opposite of what we see on the speed skating track.

Me too, Karylnn- thanks for the reminder- I have to go turn it on!

Karylnn,
Apollo is my favorite, too. Their dance late night was great! I was wishing I had taped the show (which I normally do) because my 11 yr old daughter missed it. Thanks for reminding me about watching it at ABC.COM. I will show it to my daughter!

Hi Karlynn

We have Dancing with the Stars (NZ version) here as well.

I love it too. One of the judges on our current series is new - he is English and has been a judge on the British show previously, Craig Revel Horwood is his name I think. He is REALLY nasty in his comments to the contestants - last night my 8 yo son and I were watching, and Joe (my son) said, "Mum, that man is so horrible, why is he saying such mean things to the dancers?"

This guy uses words like "hopeless", "pathetic", "naff", "idiotic" when he gives the contestants feedback - of course, the producers like the show to have a bit of sensationalism in it, but I reckon that he should tone it down a bit.
The contestants get invited on to the show, and it's for charity and basically is a bit of fun rather than a serious competition.
Anyone who has the courage to go on a show like that, especially if they have no previous dancing experience, is a winner in my opinion.

I have to admit it, I'm hooked too:eek: Cheryl (sp?), the pro, captured my heart from the first season. My wife said my heart has nothing to do with it.:D :p :D

Tom
What do our wives know anyway?

Bridgette, sounds like your judge is like our American Idol's Simon. The 3 judges for our version of Dancing are all very respectful and encouraging, while still being honest. One, Bruno, is hillaraious. He's a very animated Italian.

Ross - Cooker - Your wives must know a lot - they married you didn't they?;)

Mine enjoys torturing me. I'm convinced that's why she marred me.

so that's your problem, Ross. You never told us Lyn 'marred' you.

I have been watching this since its inception. I love dancing! I wanted to be one but we couldn't afford lessons, so I learned from friends who attended tap dancing class. Never learned ballroom until I was 50 when my dear Joe happened along. He learned in NYC long years ago when he was about 8 and his girl cousins would drag him to dances to be their partner. He was so smooth and nearly professional - even after his stroke. We cut many a rug - and I love watching these people on the show. I think you might be surprised. I don't think Apollo will be the final winner.

The country singer needs to go, bless his heart, he's so bad. Then George from Cheers, then Heather or Ali's daughter (Alia?), tho they are very good. It will be a final of three guys at the finish! My predictions.

I think the winner will probably be Joe Fatone or Ian Ziering. But I just think Apollo is so darned cute.:D

I'd love to get my husband interested in ballroom dancing. It's great exercise. We have a friend who goes out dancing at least 4 nights a week.

I always wanted to know what his personality was like off the tracks. He is just a sweet, genuine, down to earth kind of guy. So refreshing. Oh yes, He can dance too. ;) Yes, I am totally hooked on this show. With everything going on in the world, a little escapism might be needed.

I saw the first two shows when I was in Florida, and enjoyed it,
I loved Joey ( who I tipped to win )
I thought Leila Ali was fantastic,
Heather Mills was Ok ( though I have never been a fan of her's)
and I thought Billy Ray was hopeless but I do like him
and the Ice Skating guy was good

So who is still left in

Jan

Jan, right now it's Joey, Ian, Apollo, Billy Ray, and the guy from Cheers (can't recall his name), Heather and Alia. I really like Alia but she is way too muscular to wiggle enough. First show, I picked Joey as the winner and stand by it.

I LOVE this, but the thing that got me hooked was Ian....I am coming out....I am a Beverly Hills 90210 JUNKIE :) I am also hooked on Tori's new reality show, about her Inn and we have never EVER watched a single reality show to date :)

Oh, come on, Karlynn, give Natanni a break! I grew up with 90210 and "graduated" with them in '93. Dylan was my BF. Heh.

But, yes, I'm glad I'm not the only one to be crushing on Apolo. Such a cutie!!! (I, um, still have the issue of Cosmopolitan in which he's shirtless...shhh...)
