Grrr... No cath today. My INR needs to be 1.8 or lower. It came in at 2.0. So we have to wait until tomorrow. It's pretty certain that it will be low enough tomorrow (it went from 2.6 on Monday to 2.0 today with only missing my Tuesday night dose). I'm set to have my INR checked tomorrow at 7:30, then (depending on the results, of course) I'll have the cath done. So once again, we are waiting.
Some of the most frustrating things about this are the fact that we have NOTHING to do for the rest of the afternoon/evening (Rochester doesn't have a whole lot to do), and we have no idea when to change our plane tickets to. We have tickets to leave tomorrow morning, but that's definitely going to have to change, but we won't know until after the flight time what the plan is. Nathan's guess is that we should set the new departure for Monday late afternoon. That way if I have defibrillator surgery Friday I may be released Saturday or Sunday and we can just stay in a hotel until Monday. OR, if I have a valve replacement, that may mean Nathan will have to head back without me on Monday (his mother has offered to come up and stay with me if that is the case), so that he can get back to work (as it is, he's going to have to call in for this weekend).
So the plan this afternoon is to call American Airlines to change our flight, call the vet to let them know we won't be picking up the dogs tomorrow, and take a nap (we've been up since 5:30).
Wish I had more news to report. But that's all she wrote for today. Another boring day in MN (and it's getting colder! :-(
