Hi,
I went to see my cardiologyst today and I am going in for pre op tomorrow,
My mitral valve repair will be on Thursday, March 8th.
This does not give me too much time to dwell on it , worry or ever give it a bit of a thought.
Again, I would like to thank all for the information that you post.
God Bless

Rachelle

That is short notice, Rachelle! But it gave me time to put you on the calendar and I know all forum members will be wishing you well on Thursday. Hope you can have someone post for you. Best wishes for a successful repair and uneventful recovery.

Quick and done might be the best way of all. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow. It will go faster than you think, and won't be nearly as bad as you imagine.

Best wishes,

Rachelle,

All my best for an easy time. Make sure you get pampered tonight.

Godspeed.

Wow, that was quick! But it may be for the best, as sometimes the worst part of OHS is the anticipation. I don't think you'll have time to anticipate!

If you don't mind, where are you going for your surgery? And who is your surgeon?

Good luck on Thursday. I'll be thinking of you.

I am going to NYU and the surgeon is Dr. Colvin. I met with him a couple of months ago. I like him and spoke to a couple of people who used him.

Just want to second Bob's thoughts....It WILL go faster than you think, and not be anywhere near as bad as you might be thinking. I've had my mitral repair almost 6 mo. now, and it truly seems like years ago. Let us hear from you when you are up and around. See you on the other side of the mountain!!

Rachelle,

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Break a leg!

Hi Rachelle

Wow!!! That was fast, girl! Sometimes I do think it's much better to have to go in and JUST DO IT. It sure saves alot of worry time. I'll put you on my prayer list and hope everything goes well for you tomorrow.

Evelyn

Rachelle,

That is unbelievable news! I'm sorry but I didn't check your previous posts - how long ago did you find out that you had a problem with your mitral valve? I'm getting quite antsy in the "waiting room" but not sure I'd want to vacate that quickly!!!!

Seriously speaking: you will definitely have my positive thoughts and prayers with you on Thursday.

Take Care!
Susie

Hi Rachelle -

You're having pre-op done as I write this. Hope all goes well with the surgery and we'll look for a post-op post from you soon! Take care.

Lucky you

Lucky you

Wishing you the best tomorrow. You lucked out not having to fret over your procedure very long. I have been looking forward to mine (one week from today and counting) since December. Please know we are thinking about you.
