Below is my initiation photo for The Order of the Tawdry Shirt. The photo was done on Day 26 after AVR surgery, and I was captured performing the obligatory disco dance. I know that my image will not inspire the awe accorded to ?The King? (Ross) during his session, but I am strong enough to live with that!

As for my recovery, I continue to improve every day. Visits to the cardio and to the heart surgeon this past week both gave me a clean bill of health. I was encouraged to slowly take on more activities and household chores. My wife was especially pleased to hear that. I have been weaning myself off of pain pills and hope to take the last of them this week.

I will be forwarding the TOOTS shirt today to Kaasmom (Huber Heights, Ohio), who had MV replacement on 2/2/07. She tells me that she is up for it and will gladly pass it along.

The design of the shirt is certainly appropriate to wear with the palm trees in the background . . . that's one positive! The second is you look good and perfectly capable of dancing around to Night Fever.
