For what it is worth, the only thing my wife and I have done to prepare is buy new underware so the hospital won't see the holes in my old underware.

He he ... I'm not sure why, but this struck my funny bone ;).

Cathy ... GOOD LUCK! Thoughts/prayers coming your way for a successful surgery!

If you weren't nervous you wouldn't be normal. You will most likely not be nervous when you get to the hospital. Things should go very smoothly from the time you go through that door. I will be thinking about you and waiting to hear that things are ok.

No one could possibly have been more scared than I was !!! The only thing that kept me sane was the people here.I must have posted every day for the last couple of weeks before surgery.
But I was thinking back this week... OHS was a breeze compare to what my husband is going through right now with lung cancer. First I was so lucky that what was wrong with me was fixable. I am just fine. Also, as far as pain goes, it was nothing compare to what my hubby is going through right now. And I could always look forward to feeling better. With the lung cancer, it can only get worse. So I was really lucky.
You will be just fine. After the climb over the famous mountain, you will think, " I did all that worrying for this." The waiting is so much worse than the actual surgery.
I will keep you in my prayers. May God keep you calm. You will be okay.
