Oh, and another place I've practically lived since March of last year: my cardiologist's office, which is a block away from where I live! Talk about a home away from home!

LOL! Now, I'd say that is one heck of a creative location to live ;).

Mark ... it is NEVER too late ;).

BTW, what years specifically were you in Idaho Falls? I ask because my grandfather (Virgil W) was a pastor there many years ago, if I remember correctly. Judging from your timeline and my (somewhat faulty) recollection of my grandfather's pastoral places/dates (Mom will be able to straighten me out on this end), I'm not sure if you were there at the same time they were or not.... Would be interesting if you were ;).

This past October, when I traveled west, I met up with a friend from another message board ... and found out that my grandfather was his High School typing teacher ... back when my grandfather, my grandmother, mom and her siblings lived in Ames OK. If you're interested, check out this:

And, musician ... hopefully one of these days we'll meet up :).

Hmm lets see I was in Idaho Falls in 1961, 1963 - 1975, 1979 - 1981, 1984-1991 and still go back on a regular basis but only for a day or two. What church was your grandfather a pastor of?

Evansville, IN--way to go! We have several members from that area, and our oldest daughter was born at Welborn Memorial Hospital.

The Church of the Brethren.

Tho, sadly, I was right ... Mom corrected me. They lived in TWIN FALLS ID ... not Idaho Falls ... from 1967 to about 1969 ... sorry, Mark :(.

Yep! Evansville's a nice place but I was just a young kid while we lived there. I went to Plaza Park Elementary (which is now a middle school I think.) We lived right across from the school on Lincoln Rd.

It's been fun reading where everyone's lived!

*nods*

It certainly has :).

I posted this type of thread on several different of the boards of which I am a member ... and, in each case, had at least some sort of "connection" made of some sort to further prove how small the world is ;).

Anita, it is a small world! I have to been to Akron, IN countless times. My grandmother lived there for many years. When I was a little boy, she owned and ran a restaurant in downtown Akron (downtown in Akron not being a big distinction, as you know). I went to school there for a short time, I think it was about the 8th grade. Anyway, the mention of Akron always brings back memories of big Christmas gatherings at my grandmother's house....lots of food and fun for a little boy.

My grandparents liven in the Santa Claus, Chrisney, Gentryville area.

In the early 1950s they did not have electricity. Now there is a nuclear generator not far away at Rockport.

I'd say that depends on what you define as "boring" ;).
