Well, I've paddled Tallulah before but I guess I did conquer it Post Op I tried paddling the Green Narrows (South Carolina on the Green River) in early November but I didn't make it all the way through. It was really a goal I wanted to accomplish this year but I guess I will wait till next year. The Green Narrows is a solid Class 5 river with some huge continuous rapids. I ended up hiking out of the Gorge because I didn't feel like I was ready quite yet. The Coumadin thing did scare me a little bit. One of the guys that day ended up going over a waterfall upside down and it knocked him out cold. He broke some ribs and punctured one of his lungs. Amazing enough he hiked out under his own will and went to the hospital instead of being carried out. There are some serious rapids on that river. Nothing to be taken lightly. But, that is my goal next year is to run that river and I will do it.

I just told my Hubby a few days ago..Oh, I forgot to go over to Tallulah..and watch Mike paddle. .I should have written it down on my calendar. Was it the last weekend in November?I'm mad at myself..Only about 30 minutes away. Bonnie

Yes Steph, I give lessons. I'm an instructor and sometimes teach on the weekends. If your ever in Atlanta, gimme a ring. I will take you out on the water sometime.

Yeah, sorry I missed ya'll that weekend. I paddled the weekend before Thanksgiving. No worries, they release the water again in April for kayakers (the first 2 weekends). Definitely come down then
