Post Surgery

Hello, Update on Marcie Marine. She went into surgery this morning at about 0820. The surgery began at about 0850. Five and a half hours later she had both the Aortic and Mitral valves replaced with Mechanical valves. The surgery went very well and she is expected to recover at the normal rate.

I went in to see her in ICU after she came out of the OR. What I saw was exactly what they told her it would be like. Numerous conections! All for the good of course. Her doctor gave me photo images of the condition of the two valves and said the mitral was in, very, very bad condition, it didn't even resemble what a mitral should look like.

The surgery is over now, so it is on to recovery. She is doing well.
I will be back on thursday with another up date.

I am sooo glad that she is doing so well. Continued prayers for a continued uneventful recovery. Imagine how much better she will feel with a properly working valve.
