Thank you to everyone who said a prayer for Matt...

This was the first cath since he has been on coumadin plus the first time off the ped's floor. I have to admit, I loved the Cardiac Care unit even though he didn't fit in being 19! lol They were great to him and really knew what they were doing.

He was admitted Sunday to start the IV Heparin since he decided against Lovenox, after we filled the prescription....

Monday was interesting to say the least. He did well with the cath itself. But the dr comes out with xrays, says the valves look good. Whew!! Yeah!! I then thought, then why do we have xrays and said but??

Apparantly something showed on his aorta besides an anuerysm. They have no clue what it is, never having seen it before. (leave it to Matt, story of his life) So off goes all the results to different ped cards. Waiting is not one of my best traits....

Next thing, his groin is so purple it is black and so very sore and tender. He does have a hemotoma, but this is new to us. Maybe because he is an adult, it hurts more??? He still can't walk right. Kinda limping.

And getting his INR up to 2.0 so we could leave wasn't fun. But we are home and that is all that matters.

Again, thanks for thinking of us.

So glad your big "baby" boy is home. I hope that this new unknown turns out to be something very benign.

Glad to hear Matt is home and I will keep him in my prayers that all is well.

Good news about the valves, Jeanne. Will keep Matt in our prayers that this other "unknown" is benign.

*chuckles*

Oh, I bet he fit in more than you realize ;).

Seriously, though, I had more "attention" in the cardiac care floor of Children's Memorial Hospital than whenever I've been in units of other hospitals ... because for them, it is nice to have a patient that is a bit more "communicative" than what usually is with them.

Thoughts/prayers continuing for you and Matt.
