As you know i was dignosed with a bicusdip aortic valve in May I aslo have agania .The g.p has said the fats in the blood are normal but still put me 20mg simvastatin . Does this help the heart. I have aslo been told that I will need the valve replacing at some time . Do I look fpr sign that it needs replacing or go back and have the valve checked . the cardloist as not done any follow ups

Accorring to the reading they have put me statins to help prvent the heart valve getting stiff then or calicifing.
