Like Praline, I had a FNA done last week. For me there was no numbing. Dr. went into thyroid 9 times, that means 9 sticks. By the 7th one I was getting a little tired of it. I have 4 nodules on each side and he had hoped that one was a water filled cyst and he could drain it. It wasn't and he couldn't. He is also testing for a tumor on pituitary and my adrenal glands. They said 7 days for results, so I'm hoping by the end of the week to know something.
The waiting is the hardest.... I haven't had a good feeling about this, especially since my thyroid problems started 12 years ago and the Dr. than had me on a cancer watch.
But to help me not dwell on it, I rescued yet another Italian greyhound this week, which brings my total to: IG's = 4, retired greyhound = 1. Her name is Sophie and I think I'm keeping her. When shes happy, she smiles !!
