So..

- The ring was advertised by the manufacturer as being approved by the FDA when it was used
- Edwards LifeSciences was cleared of intentional wrongdoing by the FDA
- The ring is now officially approved by the FDA
- The doctor has not been accused of any wrongdoing by any public agency at all
And...
- Two people are suing over the use of a ring that is deemed as effective and safe as others in use
- One doctor is accusing, right after a prestigious chair was awarded to the accused doctor, and not to her
We note that the two people suing are alive to start their lawsuits, which may well have been generated based on what was told to them by the accusing doctor. We note that somehow, the selfless gesture of standing up to the famous surgeon is badly tainted by a demand of a $2M guaranteed job (chair) and an added $1M for the retirement of the accusing doctor.
Politics and money. Sounds to me like she wants what he has. It will be interesting to see what unfolds with this. People get such a feeling of entitlement about things these days.
