Got my results from my Echo yesterday. It showed moderate to severe triscupid regurgitation and pulmonary pressures at 43. Well I know to me it does not sound that great, but they say the mechanical valve is working great. People seem to think I'm worrying too much but I don't. Seems the unknown lung condition I have been tested for over the last 10 years may be destroying my heart after all. Just had to vent a little with people who know what I'm talking about.

I guess I need to learn more about the tricuspid valve. 20 years ago on my first echo they found some problems with the tricuspid valve. I was told at the time to not worry More than one heart specialist said "You don't need your tricuspid valve. They could reomove it completely and you would be fine." On this list, however, I see comments and even replacements on the tricuspid valve. I hope someone will give some links or other current info on tricuspid valves!

I am very interested in this topic as well. Now that I have an ICD, the lead is run down through the tricuspid valve. I wory that a wire over the long term may cause damamge.

Is regurgitation in this valve less severe than other valves like the AV or MV
